Pickup from Store lets your customers collect their orders directly from your own shop — free of delivery charges. Add your pickup points (wilaya, commune, address) and a third delivery option appears at checkout, on the product page and on landing pages for customers in those wilayas. It is built for Algerian merchants who already have a physical shop, depot or office and want nearby buyers to skip the courier entirely.

What it does

The add-on adds a third choice next to Home delivery and Desk delivery on your buying surfaces. You list your own addresses on Dashboard → Pickup points at /dashboard/pickup-points; a customer who selects a wilaya where you have at least one active point sees a Pickup from store option priced as Free.

Choosing it swaps the delivery address fields for a dropdown of your points in that wilaya. Once the customer picks one, a small card shows the point's name, full address and phone, so they know exactly where to go and who to call.

Availability is evaluated per wilaya. If you have no active point in the customer's wilaya, the option is not rendered at all — the customer simply sees home and desk delivery as before. Switching a point off hides it from the storefront without deleting it.

Two things are decided on DZBuild's side, not by the page:

• Shipping on a pickup order is always 0, whatever the page sends.
• The chosen point is re-checked when the order is submitted. It must belong to your store, be active, and sit in the wilaya the customer selected. Anything else is refused instead of becoming an order.

Benefits

• You keep the delivery fee out of the equation. A free option next to a paid one is a strong argument for buyers who live near your shop.
• No courier, no failed delivery, no return on local orders — the customer comes to you and pays on the spot.
• Your physical shop becomes part of your online funnel instead of a separate business.
• Zero courier cost on those orders, which matters most on low-margin products where delivery eats the profit.
• No confusion for your team: pickup orders are labelled as such in your orders list and are blocked from courier sending, so nobody dispatches an order the customer is coming to collect.

How to activate

1. Open Dashboard → Add-ons at /dashboard/addons.
2. Find Pickup from Store under Shipping.
3. Click Activate. The add-on requires the Unlimited plan (or higher) — on Free and Pro the card stays locked.
4. You land straight on the Pickup points page, and a Pickup points entry appears in the dashboard sidebar.
5. Add your first point — until you do, nothing changes on your storefront.

Paused on the digital theme

Stores running the digital theme sell products with no physical shipping, so the add-on cannot be activated there — the card shows a paused state. Nothing is uninstalled; switching back to a physical-goods theme restores it.

Using it

Adding a pickup point

On Dashboard → Pickup points, fill the form:

Save, and the point goes live as active. Your points are listed grouped by wilaya, and each row can be edited, switched off or deleted. A store can hold up to 100 pickup points. Every change reaches your storefront right away — no cache wait.

Name the point the way a customer would find it

The name and address are what the buyer reads at checkout, so write them as directions, not as internal labels. Main shop — Bab Ezzouar, next to the post office beats Depot 2.

What the customer sees

1. The customer selects their wilaya first — the pickup dropdown stays disabled until then.
2. If you have an active point in that wilaya, the Pickup from store option appears with a Free price.
3. Selecting it reveals the point dropdown; picking a point shows its name, address and phone below.
4. The order cannot be submitted with pickup selected and no point chosen — the form asks for one.
5. Changing the wilaya resets the choice, and fresh points are loaded for the new wilaya.

The option appears on all three buying surfaces: the classic checkout page, fast checkout on the product page (all five fast-checkout styles), and landing-page order forms.

Pickup orders in your dashboard

• The delivery type reads Pickup from store on the order detail and order edit pages, and on the confirmation page your customer sees after ordering.
• The orders list delivery-type filter includes Pickup from store, so you can pull up everyone coming to collect today.
• Send to delivery is refused for these orders — one by one, with a message explaining the order is collected in store, and in bulk, where pickup orders are skipped and reported as skipped.

FAQ

Does pickup cost the customer anything?

No. Shipping on a pickup order is set to zero on DZBuild's side, so the customer pays the product price only — regardless of your home or desk delivery rates.

What if I have no pickup point in the customer's wilaya?

The option is not shown to them at all. They see home and desk delivery exactly as before, so adding a point in one wilaya never affects the rest of the country.

Can I close a pickup point temporarily?

Yes — switch it off instead of deleting it. It disappears from the storefront immediately and keeps its address, phone and history for when you switch it back on.

What happens to my points if I deactivate the add-on?

They are kept. Deactivating only removes the option from your storefront; reactivating the add-on brings your list back as it was.

Can a customer pick a point in a different wilaya?

No. Only the points of the wilaya they selected are offered, and the order is re-checked when submitted — a point from another wilaya, another store or a switched-off point is refused.

• Not available while your store runs the digital theme.
