Facebook Catalog

Category: Marketing  ·  Min plan: Free  ·  Slug: facebook-catalog

Auto-generate a Facebook/Instagram product feed (XML) for your store. Just copy the feed URL into Facebook Commerce Manager.

Features

  • Auto XML feed
  • Facebook Commerce Manager
  • Instagram Shopping
  • Auto sync
  • Zero coding
  • Product images included

What this add-on does

This page covers the add-on mechanics — activating it, where the feed lives, what settings it exposes. For how to actually use the feed in Meta Commerce Manager and run Dynamic Product Ads, see Marketing → Facebook Catalog.

Once activated, DZBuild generates a Facebook-compliant XML feed for your store. Every public product in your catalog appears in the feed, including images, prices, variants, and stock status. You paste the feed URL into Meta Commerce Manager and Facebook re-fetches it automatically.

How to activate

  1. Open Dashboard → Add-ons at /dashboard/addons.
  2. Find Facebook Catalog under Marketing.
  3. Click Activate (Free plan).
  4. The add-on surfaces under Management Tools in the sidebar (not in the add-ons grid). Open /dashboard/addons/facebook-catalog to see the feed URL.

Settings

The add-on exposes three settings:

SettingDefaultWhat it controls
Brand nameYour store nameThe <brand> field on every product in the feed. Empty falls back to store name.
Product conditionnewSets <condition>new, refurbished, or used.
Currency codeDZDThe currency in the price field. Leave on DZD unless you sell in another currency.

What's in the feed

For each public, in-stock product:

  • ID
  • Title
  • Description
  • Price (with currency)
  • Availability (in stock / out of stock)
  • Brand
  • Condition
  • Cover image URL + additional image URLs
  • Product page URL on your storefront
  • Variants (each variant becomes its own item linked via item_group_id)

Hidden, draft, or out-of-stock products are excluded by default.

Facebook re-fetch

Meta re-fetches the feed daily. To force an immediate refresh, click Refresh now inside Commerce Manager — that pings the feed URL right away.

Tips

  • Set Brand name to a real brand if you sell branded items — Facebook uses it for product matching across sellers.
  • For multi-language stores, append ?lang=ar or ?lang=fr to the feed URL — Facebook accepts multilingual catalogs.
  • The add-on is free; running ads against the catalog is paid (your ad spend on Facebook).
  • See the marketing-side guide for DPA setup, retargeting strategies and Instagram Shopping.
