Custom Delivery Label

Category: Delivery  ·  Min plan: Pro  ·  Slug: custom-delivery-label

Customize how product names appear on delivery labels — add/remove variants, quantity, and custom text per product.

Features

  • Per-product delivery label customization
  • Toggle variant display on/off
  • Toggle quantity display on/off
  • Custom text per product
  • Live preview before save

Why use it

Couriers print whatever you put in the product name field on the shipping label. By default DZBuild composes that as {Product Name} - {Variant} x {Qty}. That works most of the time, but:

  • For some products you want the variant hidden (e.g. internal SKU codes) — couriers and customers don't need to see them.
  • For others you want the quantity hidden (so the courier doesn't open the package).
  • For sensitive items you want a generic label like "Parfum" instead of the actual product name.

This add-on lets you override the label per product without touching the actual product name.

How to activate

  1. Open Dashboard → Add-ons at /dashboard/addons.
  2. Find Custom Delivery Label under Delivery.
  3. Click Activate (Pro plan required).
  4. A Delivery label entry appears in the dashboard sidebar pointing to /dashboard/addons/delivery-label.

Configuring labels

Open /dashboard/addons/delivery-label:

  1. Pick a product from the list (or use search).
  2. Toggle Show variant on/off.
  3. Toggle Show quantity on/off.
  4. Optionally enter Custom text to fully replace the default label.
  5. The Live preview panel updates as you type — shows what will print on the next courier label for this product.
  6. Save.

The change applies to all future shipments. Already-printed labels are not retroactively edited.

Tips

  • Use Custom text sparingly — couriers cross-reference with the order, so a fully fake label can confuse them.
  • For products where customers should see the variant (e.g. "T-shirt — Red, Size L"), leave variant ON.
  • For multi-piece offers, hide quantity to avoid couriers opening the box. The actual quantity is still in the order details.
  • Pairs well with Custom Product Shipping when you want both the price and the label decoupled from the storefront.
