What DZBuild Copilot can and cannot do
Copilot has 68 store actions available to it. You never see their names — you write a sentence and Copilot picks the right ones. This page is the honest inventory of what those sentences can achieve, and of the walls that exist on purpose.
Everything below happens in the store selected in your dashboard, and only for the store owner.
What it can do
| Area | Ask Copilot to… |
|---|---|
| Products | List and read products · create a product with price, description, SKU, barcode, weight, cost price, compare-at price and category · change any field later · delete a product |
| Photos | Add a photo from a link or from a photo you attach in the chat · set alt text · choose the main photo · reorder · delete a photo (up to 20 per product) |
| Variants | Set colours, sizes and options with per-option price, stock, SKU, colour swatch and image · set stock per combination |
| Stock | Read the current stock mode · set an exact quantity, add or subtract, or mark a product unlimited — per product, per option or per combination |
| Categories | List, create (two levels), rename, reorder, delete |
| Bundles and offers | Read and set quantity offers — "buy 2 for 5,000 DZD" — with badge text, badge colour and free shipping |
| Buyer input fields | Read and set the custom fields a buyer fills on a product, such as an engraving text or an uploaded photo, with an extra price |
| Order quantity rules | Set the minimum and maximum quantity a buyer can order |
| Promo codes | List codes with their usage · create a discount code · edit one · delete one |
| Landing pages | List and read your landing pages · create one · add, edit, reorder or delete its sections · publish it · generate a complete page with AI |
| Storefront design | Read every design field your theme and plan allow · change colours, hero, announcement bar, product cards and checkout wording · switch theme, fast-checkout design or variant style |
| Home sections | Read and change the hero slider, category cards, best sellers, promo banners and testimonials |
| Shipping | Read all 58 wilaya prices in one go · set home and stop-desk prices, delivery days and which wilayas are open · turn free shipping on or off with a threshold · pull a courier's own tariffs over your prices |
| Couriers | Show your linked couriers · search the courier catalogue · see exactly which credentials a courier needs · test credentials against the courier's live system · save them · choose the default courier · remove a courier |
| Pixels | List your pixels · add one · rename it, change its ad account, set it active or default, store a server-side token · delete one |
| Analytics | Answer questions about revenue, profit, average order value, delivered rate, visitors, conversion, best products, best wilayas, traffic sources and busiest hours |
| Orders | Read only. List, filter and analyse orders — by status, date, phone or wilaya |
| Undo | Show what it changed, and put a change back the way it was |
Beyond your store, Copilot can also search the web, read photos you send it, and read documents — PDF, Word, Excel and OpenDocument files — so a supplier price list or a screenshot of your ad manager is a valid input.
You do not need to host an image anywhere. Attach the photo to your message and ask Copilot to put it on the product — that exact photo lands on the product, converted for the web.
What it will never do
These are not instructions Copilot has been asked to follow. They are walls built into the platform.
- It cannot touch an order. No creating, no editing, no cancelling, no changing status, no sending to delivery. It can only read. Your money flow is never in its hands.
- It cannot change your plan, your billing or your payment settings.
- It cannot add, remove or edit staff accounts or their permissions.
- It cannot manage your domains or your API keys.
- It cannot read a courier password or a pixel server-side token back to you — those are stored write-only. It can replace one, never reveal one.
- It cannot act for a store you do not own. Staff accounts get a helpful assistant, not store actions.
How it protects you
It asks before it hurts. Copilot is required to say what it is about to change — and what could go wrong — before deleting anything, changing prices, creating a promo code, changing shipping rates, switching your theme or touching a courier.
Three actions it cannot do on its word alone. For the most dangerous changes the platform itself refuses to act until you have been shown exactly what will happen and have said yes. Copilot cannot skip this step or decide for you:
- Creating a 100% discount code — every order becomes free while you still ship real goods.
- Overwriting your wilaya prices with a courier's own tariffs.
- Removing a courier, which deletes the credentials you stored for it.
Credentials are tested, not trusted. When you ask Copilot to connect a courier, it tries your credentials against that courier's live system first and refuses to save them if the courier rejects them.
It forgets. Copilot keeps no memory between conversations. Nothing you said last week leaks into this week's chat.
Shared computer? If a different merchant signs into the dashboard on the same browser, the chat signs itself out rather than showing your conversations or working on your store.
Undo — what can be put back
Ask in plain words: "undo that", "رجّع كيما كان", "remets comme avant". Copilot can list what it changed and restore it.
| Can be undone | Cannot be undone |
|---|---|
| Storefront design and theme | Products — created, edited or deleted |
| Home sections | Product photos |
| Store settings and profile | Variants |
| Categories | Bundles and offers |
| Stock | Buyer input fields |
| Promo codes | Courier links — the credentials are never kept, so there is nothing to restore |
| Pixels (except a server-side token) | A pixel's server-side token |
| Shipping prices and settings | Anything Copilot created — delete it instead |
| Landing pages and their sections |
If Copilot created something you did not want, ask it to delete it. Undo reverses edits to things that already existed.
Two things that cost extra
- Generating a landing page with AI spends AI credits, not Copilot points — 20 credits for a medium page, 45 for a tall one. Copilot will tell you before it starts. See AI Credits.
- Reading a big document costs points, because the whole file enters the conversation. Limits per message: 5 files, 15 MB per file, 40 MB in total.
