Connect ChatGPT to Your Store

The ChatGPT add-on connects ChatGPT or Codex (by OpenAI) directly to your DZBuild store. Once connected, you chat to create products, generate full AI landing pages, look up orders and read your store analytics, without clicking through the dashboard.
It works as an app inside ChatGPT with Developer mode switched on, and as an MCP server in Codex.
Requirements
- A paid ChatGPT plan: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. Developer mode is switched on from the ChatGPT web app; the mobile apps cannot turn it on.
- On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, an administrator may have to allow developer-mode apps first.
- Your DZBuild store on the Enterprise plan, with the ChatGPT add-on activated.

Every change waits for your confirmation. ChatGPT shows each action that writes to your store (creating a product, cancelling an order, sending a parcel to the courier) and asks you to confirm before it runs. Without Developer mode, ChatGPT can only search and read your store data.
How to connect
- In your DZBuild dashboard, open Add-ons → ChatGPT and activate the add-on.
- Copy the connector link shown on the page:
https://mcp.dzbuild.com/mcp - In ChatGPT (web), open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
- Open ChatGPT Plugins, press the plus button and paste the link.
- ChatGPT opens a DZBuild page. Sign in, pick the store and press Approve and connect.
In Codex, add the same link as an MCP server. The sign-in and approval steps are the same.
You can revoke the connection at any time from the Add-ons → ChatGPT page. Connecting again from ChatGPT replaces the previous ChatGPT connection for that store.

Photos come from a link: ChatGPT cannot upload a file from your computer, so give it a public image URL and DZBuild downloads and hosts the image. Private links and links that need a login are refused.
AI landing pages use your credits
When you ask ChatGPT to generate a landing page, it uses your store's AI credits (the same credits as the dashboard AI generator: 20 for a medium page, 45 for a tall one). ChatGPT tells you before it spends them. You can top up credits from the AI Credits page in your dashboard.
Security
- The connection uses a standard secure sign-in (OAuth). You approve it once, from your own logged-in account.
- The key that lets ChatGPT talk to your store is created on our servers and never displayed, not even to you. On the add-on page you only ever see it masked.
- Only the store owner can connect a store. Team members cannot.
- Press Disconnect on the add-on page and ChatGPT loses access within about a minute.
- Deactivating the add-on disconnects ChatGPT and Codex. A Claude connection on the same store is not affected.
