Add your first product
A product is what your customers buy. Each product has a name, a price, at least one image, optional variants (color, size, material, …), and stock + SEO metadata. Here's the fastest path to your first live product.

Step by step
1. Open the products page
Dashboard → Products (/dashboard/products) → Create product (/dashboard/products/create).
2. Required fields
| Field | What to put |
|---|---|
| Name | Clear, search-friendly. e.g. "تيشيرت قطن - أحمر" or "T-shirt coton — rouge" |
| Price | In DZD. Whole number (no decimals). |
| Cover image | 1000 × 1000 px or larger; square works best |
3. Highly recommended
| Field | Why |
|---|---|
| Description | Sells the product. Use bullet lists, mention shipping, dimensions, materials. |
| Stock quantity | Enables auto out-of-stock when it hits 0. Combine with the Advanced Stock Management addon for more granular tracking. |
| Category | Helps customers browse and improves on-site search. Set up categories at /dashboard/categories first. |
| Gallery images | 3–5 lifestyle shots boost conversion noticeably — ideally a mix of pack-shot and lifestyle. |
4. Variants (optional)
If you sell colour / size / material combinations, expand Variants in the product editor. DZBuild has three variant types:
- Color — visual swatch (hex code) in the storefront.
- Text — text pill (S, M, L, …).
- Image + text — small image plus the option name underneath. Great for brand selectors and model thumbnails.
Each option can have its own:
- Price adjustment (e.g. XL = +200 DZD on top of the base price).
- Stock count (or roll up to combination stock if you have 2+ groups).
- Image binding (clicking the option scrolls the gallery to that image).
You can also mark groups as required so customers can't check out without picking one, and mark options as show as card to render them as larger picker cards (useful for fashion).
For full variant details — including combinations, the price pill, and dependent groups — see the variants guide.
5. SEO
Set a friendly URL slug, a 60-char meta title, and a 160-char meta description. This matters a lot if you run paid traffic or want to rank on Google.
6. Save & publish
Click Save. The product appears on your storefront within seconds.
Bulk operations
If you're migrating from another platform or doing a big seasonal change, use Bulk import at /dashboard/products/bulk-import — upload a CSV / Excel file.
