AI Credits

AI credits are spent by exactly one feature: the AI landing-page generator at /dashboard/landing-pages/ai-generate. New stores start with no free credits, so you need to buy a pack before you can generate anything. Credits work on every plan.

DZBuild has no AI image generation, background-removal or upscale tool. The AI product-description writer on the product create/edit page costs nothing — see AI text is free.

Copilot points are a different balance

Chatting with DZBuild Copilot is paid for with Copilot points, not with AI credits. The two balances are separate: Copilot points belong to your account and every plan receives some each month, while AI credits belong to the store and are only spent by the generator above. If you ask Copilot to generate a complete landing page, it spends that store's AI credits — see Copilot points.

Managing your credits

Open /dashboard/ai-credits to see your current balance, transaction history, and available packs.

How to buy

AI-credit packs are instant card payment only, on a single rail:

  • SlickPay — CIB / EDAHABIA

Unlike plan subscriptions, credit packs cannot be paid with a global card — use CIB / Edahabia for these.

  1. Open /dashboard/ai-credits.
  2. Choose a pack, then pick the card rail.
  3. Your balance is credited instantly the moment the payment is confirmed.
No receipts for credits

Unlike plan subscriptions, AI credits do not accept a bank transfer / BaridiMob receipt. That rail was closed on 21 July 2026 and now returns an error. Plan subscriptions still accept receipts; AI credits do not.

Credits do not expire.

Cost per generation

Output tierWhat you getCredits
MediumOne tall image panel20
TallThree stacked image panels45

You pick the tier in the generation wizard. The Tall option disables itself when your balance can't cover 45, so a balance of 20–44 credits still lets you generate a Medium page.

AI text is free

The AI product-description writer on the product create/edit page costs 0 credits on every plan. It is capped by rate limits instead:

  • 6 generations per minute per store
  • 150 generations per day per store
  • 3 generations per product per day

Before you generate

Two prerequisites are checked before any credits are taken. If either fails, generation is refused and nothing is charged:

  1. A product with at least one photo. Pick a real product that already has an uploaded image — a page generated without one is refused.
  2. A free landing-page slot. Credits alone are not enough. Free-plan stores have no landing-page slot and must buy a page for 1,000 DZD (or upgrade) first. Pro is capped at 3 landing pages in total, so a 4th generation is refused even with a full credit balance. See the Landing-page playbook.

What if generation fails?

  • Provider unavailable — if the AI provider is unreachable, generation is refused with a provider_unavailable error and you are not charged.
  • Double submit — a second generation launched while the first is still running is blocked and refunded automatically.
  • Stalled run — a generation that hasn't finished after about 10 minutes is marked stale and refunded automatically.

Refunds appear as their own row in the transaction history on /dashboard/ai-credits.

Limits

  • Balance ceiling: 50,000 credits. A purchase that would push you past it fails outright rather than partially crediting — no credits are added and the purchase is left unfinished, so contact support if a payment went through against the cap.
  • 10 AI generations per minute per store.

Enterprise monthly allocation

Enterprise subscribers receive 100 AI credits per month, separate from purchased packs. They come from two paths:

  • An automatic top-up once your last grant is 30 or more days old.
  • One grant on each subscription approval or renewal, which resets that 30-day clock.

The grant only fires while the subscription is still active — an expired Enterprise store stops receiving it. A small number of partner stores are excluded from the automatic grant.
