Digital theme
The Digital theme is a dark, modern storefront built for digital products and services — game top-ups, software licences, gift cards, e-books, subscriptions. It is available on the Free plan.
Activating Digital converts your store to digital-products mode. The storefront stops collecting wilaya, commune and address, and shipping rates, courier integration and cash-on-delivery are all disabled. The theme picker forces you through a confirmation modal — with a 10-second cooldown before the confirm button unlocks — spelling this out.
If you sell physical products, pick another theme: Started V2 or Promobi for tech and streetwear, Bloom for beauty, Prestige for fashion and jewellery. Switching a Digital store back to a physical theme restores the normal flow, but the digital-product pages and digital payment paths stop working while you're away.
A store is either digital or physical, never both at once. If you sell both kinds, open a second store on the same account and run the other kind there.
What switching to Digital turns off
Read this before you upload anything. Digital changes the storefront and the dashboard at the same time.
| Turned off | What replaces it |
|---|---|
| Wilaya, commune and address at checkout | Contact channels: Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp, plus up to three fields you define at /dashboard/digital/checkout-fields |
| Shipping rates and free-shipping thresholds | Nothing to price. There is no delivery leg |
| Courier links and send-to-delivery | Nothing to send. No parcel is created |
| Cash on Delivery | A free digital order, or a receipt the customer uploads if you bought the Payment Gateway add-on |
The digital pages in the dashboard (Payment, Storage, Orders and Checkout fields, all under /dashboard/digital/) open only while Digital is your active theme. Pick another theme and they send you back to your dashboard home until you switch again. Nothing is deleted in the meantime: your uploaded files, payment methods and digital orders are still there when you come back.
Highlights
- Dark palette by default — indigo primary on a near-black background
- 3-slide hero slider, each slide with its own image, headline, button label and link
- Sidebar widget on the homepage — a featured or per-category product list with your own title
- Category strip, Top sellers, Popular by category and a multi-column block
- Two promotional banners
- Its own product page, checkout page and order-tracking page — Digital is the only theme that overrides all three
- Native variant picker with thumbnails and price pills for options flagged show as card
Digital does not have a hero video, a product carousel, a grid-density control or a mobile bottom navigation bar — the themes with a bottom nav are Brico, Started V2 and Bloom, and Digital uses the shared hamburger drawer. There is no dark-mode toggle either: the theme is dark, full stop.
Because Digital is a dark theme, choosing exactly #ffffff for the background or the navbar is overridden back to Digital's dark defaults. Use an off-white such as #fefefe if you want a light surface.
Best for
- Game top-ups, in-game currency, and gaming accounts
- Software licences, keys and subscriptions
- Gift cards and vouchers
- E-books, courses and downloadable files
- Online services delivered without shipping
Where to customize
Everything lives on the normal customize page: Dashboard → Customize (/dashboard/customize). Once Digital is active, its own sections appear there alongside the shared controls:
| Section | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Hero slider | Sidebar widget title + category, and 3 slides (image, headline, button text, button link) |
| Category cards | The homepage category strip |
| Top sellers | The best-sellers block |
| Popular by category | Per-category product rows |
| Promotional banners | Two banner slots |
| Multi-column | The multi-column content block |
A legacy standalone URL exists at /dashboard/customize/digital, but it isn't linked from the dashboard and redirects to /dashboard/customize if Digital isn't your active theme.
Banner and hero-slide buttons link to the products section, a category or a product. Unlike the other themes, Digital's link picker has no custom-URL field, so a Digital banner cannot point at a landing page.
Digital's layout data is stored separately from the shared store settings, so if you switch away and come back later, your slider, banners and blocks are still there.
Variants on the Digital theme
Digital's built-in variant picker already handles rich options: mark an option show as card in the product editor and it renders with a thumbnail plus a price pill showing the price adjustment. Colour options without a card image render as colour swatches. Selecting an option that is bound to a product image moves the gallery to that image.
The optional Digital Product Variants addon (Pro plan, Digital theme only) replaces that picker with a collapsible accordion:
- Each variant group becomes a collapsible section.
- Each option shows its name, its final price (base price plus that option's price adjustment), and a colour dot for colour options that carry a colour code.
- Sold-out options are labelled.
- Selection is single-choice across all groups.
The accordion has no per-option preview images, and installing it hides Digital's native picker — so the show as card thumbnails disappear. Install it if you want a compact, priced accordion; skip it if the images are what sell your options.
See the variants guide for setting up variants.
The two paid Digital add-ons
Digital itself costs nothing to activate, but two of its features are sold separately and billed by the month. You buy them from the pages they belong to, for the number of months you choose.
| Add-on | Price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
Payment Gateway (/dashboard/digital/payment) | 500 DZD per month | Receipt checkout: your own CCP, BaridiMob, RedotPay or custom accounts, with a transfer receipt the customer uploads before you confirm the order |
Secure Storage (/dashboard/digital/storage) | 500 DZD (300 items), 900 DZD (600), 1,500 DZD (1,200), 2,200 DZD (3,000) or 3,000 DZD (unlimited) per month | Storage for the files, codes and accounts you deliver after a sale |
Both are paid by card, either CIB / Edahabia or a global card billed in USD. Until Payment Gateway is active, the payment page shows the purchase card only and no method can be saved, so a Digital store without it can hand out free downloads but has no way to take money at checkout.
Recommended add-ons
- Digital Product Variants — the accordion picker described above (Pro).
- Product Reviews — star ratings + customer photos under the product page.
- Image Cadre & Crop — branded frames and aspect-ratio cropping for your product images.
Tips
- Lead with the offer in slide 1. The hero slider is three images; the first one carries most of the clicks.
- Keep slide images light. Three full-width images load on first paint, and Algerian mobile networks are unforgiving.
- Use the price pill as a teaser — mark the best-value option show as card so shoppers see the cheaper price before they open the picker.
- Your storefront runs in one language by default (Arabic or French, set under Customize, Store language), and the cart and checkout wording follows that setting. The Multi-Language Store add-on (Unlimited plan and above, so Enterprise too) adds a language selector to Digital's navbar, footer and side drawer, and lets the visitor switch the whole interface, cart and checkout included, between Arabic and French. It can also read the browser's language on the first visit. Your own product names and descriptions are not translated: they stay exactly as you typed them.
