17 Add-ons, AI Credits, and Team Permissions — The New DZBuild Tools Algerian Merchants Are Using to Run Tighter Stores.

We build the platform

Six months ago, DZBuild's add-ons page had four entries. Maybe five.

Today there are seventeen. Each one solves a specific operational problem that Algerian e-commerce merchants actually deal with — not hypothetical edge cases, not features copied from Shopify's playbook. Real problems: fake COD orders from the same IP. Customers who can't find their stop desk. Variant combinations that explode into 60 SKUs. Courier labels that reveal your sourcing to competitors.

These aren't splashy platform updates that get a blog post and a launch banner. They're the tools that make the difference between a store that runs smoothly and a store where you're putting out fires all day.

Here's every recent add-on, what it actually does for your daily workflow, and how to combine them.

📦 The Add-ons Catalog — 17 Tools, Pick What You Need

The add-ons model is simple: every store starts with the essentials built in. Products, orders, themes, COD, courier integration — that's the base. Add-ons are layers you activate when your operation outgrows the defaults.

Some are free. Some require Pro or Unlimited. None of them bloat your dashboard until you turn them on.

Here they are, grouped by the problem they solve:

📞 For Order Management: Stop Guessing Which Orders Are Real

Every Algerian COD merchant knows the routine. Order comes in. You call the number. Nobody answers. You call again tomorrow. Still nothing. You mark it "maybe fake?" in your head and move on. Two weeks later you have 47 orders in limbo and no system for tracking which ones you called.

Advanced Order Management (Unlimited)

This is the single biggest efficiency upgrade for anyone processing more than 10 orders a day. It creates a dedicated CRM-style page at /dashboard/orders/advanced that lives alongside your regular orders page — it doesn't replace it, doesn't touch your fulfillment flow. Think of it as your call-queue command center.

What you get:

FeatureWhat It Means
12 sub-statusesNo answer, Busy line, Postponed, Fake, Duplicate, Customer cancelled, Waiting customer call, At courier, Returned, Completed + 2 custom ones you define
Call attempt loggingEvery call is timestamped with notes. You know exactly who called who, when, and what happened
Sortable queueOldest sub-status floats to the top — your operators always work the stalest order first
Status-change timelineFull history per order. When a customer says "I never got a call," you have the receipts
Zero impact on standard ordersFulfillment team uses the regular page. Call team uses Advanced. No conflict

The workflow is built for an Algerian call-confirm operation: operator opens the queue, picks the oldest pending order, calls the customer, logs the result with one click, adds notes about quantity changes or address corrections, and moves on. A team of two operators can process 80–100 calls in a morning.

Pair it with: Limit Orders Per IP and Captcha Protection. Fewer fake orders reach the call queue in the first place, so your operators spend time on real customers instead of prank calls.

Activate Advanced Order Management — Requires Unlimited plan. Dashboard → Add-ons → Orders section.

🛡️ For Fraud Prevention: Block Bots Before They Become Orders

COD fraud in Algeria isn't sophisticated hacking. It's usually one person submitting 30 fake orders from the same IP, or a bot script hitting your checkout form 200 times overnight. You wake up to a dashboard full of garbage, and now you have to figure out which ones are real.

DZBuild now has a two-layer defense:

Captcha Protection (Pro)

This isn't Google reCAPTCHA with the "click all the traffic lights" annoyance. It uses ALTCHA — a self-hosted, proof-of-work challenge that runs silently in a Web Worker. Real customers see nothing. Their browser solves a tiny math puzzle in the background and submits. Bots, VPNs, TOR nodes, and headless browsers get rejected at the form level.

Key details:

  • Covers every checkout form: fast checkout, full checkout, landing page forms
  • Self-hosted — no third party (no Google) sees your customer data
  • Fail-open behavior: if verification ever goes down, orders proceed normally so real customers aren't blocked
  • Strict mode available: any order lacking a valid token is rejected outright
  • Kill switch: platform-wide emergency disable available

Limit Orders Per IP (Free)

Sets a cap on how many successful orders can come from one IP address in a time window. Simple, effective, zero configuration beyond the limit number.

Pair them together: Captcha stops bots. IP limiting stops the human spammer who manually fills your checkout form 15 times from the same connection. Between the two, your call-confirm team only deals with orders that have a real chance of converting.

Activate Limit Orders Per IP — Free on all plans. Dashboard → Add-ons → Security. Set your limit and it runs silently in the background.

Activate Captcha Protection — Pro plan. Dashboard → Add-ons → Security section. Enable and it works immediately — no configuration needed.

🚚 For Shipping: Control Costs Down to the Wilaya

Default shipping is one rate table for everything. That works until it doesn't. Until you add a product that weighs 5 kilos and costs 900 DZD to ship to Tamanrasset but only 400 DZD to Algiers. Until you want to offer free shipping on one product as a promotion without giving it away on everything.

Custom Product Shipping (Pro)

Override shipping on a per-product basis. Four modes:

ModeUse Case
Store ratesDefault — follows your global shipping table
FreePromotional item, loss leader, or loyalty perk
Flat rateSame price to all 58 wilayas (e.g., 600 DZD flat)
Per-wilayaSet individual prices for each wilaya

The per-wilaya mode is the one that matters for Algeria. Copy your store rates as a starting point, then adjust only the wilayas where shipping actually costs more. Southern wilayas for heavy items. Algiers for express delivery. You're not guessing — you're pricing based on real courier costs.

Mixed cart logic: When a customer adds products with different shipping rules, the system applies the highest price. Cart with a Free item + 800 DZD flat item = 800 DZD shipping. This prevents the obvious loophole of adding a free-shipping keychain to avoid paying delivery on a 15,000 DZD order.

Custom Delivery Label (Pro)

Control what prints on your courier labels without changing your actual product names. Three toggles per product:

  • Show variant on/off — hide internal SKU codes from couriers
  • Show quantity on/off — prevents couriers from opening packages to verify counts
  • Custom text — write a generic label like "Parfum" or "Accessoire" instead of the full brand name

This one matters more than it sounds. If you source from the same suppliers as five other stores, your courier label is the one place competitors can see exactly what you're selling. A generic label keeps your sourcing private.

Stop Desk Selector (Free)

Replaces the free-text desk field at checkout with a structured picker that pulls live desk data from your linked courier (Yalidine, Maystro, Noest, ZR Express, EcoTrack). Customer selects their wilaya → sees actual desk names, addresses, and phone numbers → picks one. No more "the customer wrote 'bureau de poste' and expected us to know which one."

Set up Custom Product Shipping — Pro plan. Dashboard → Add-ons → Shipping section. Activate, then configure per product.

🌐 For Your Storefront: Language, Variants & Social Proof

Multi-Language Store (Unlimited)

A customer-facing language selector in your navbar. Ships with Arabic and French preloaded. Auto-detects browser language on first visit. Switches entire layout between LTR and RTL automatically.

The docs note that Algerian stores enabling both Arabic and French typically see a 5–15% conversion lift, depending on wilaya mix. Your product titles and descriptions stay in whatever language you entered them — the add-on translates the storefront chrome: nav bars, cart, checkout buttons, labels. For product-level translation, you edit each product and add per-language fields.

Cascading Variants (Pro)

For products where one choice determines the next. Phone cases: pick Brand → then compatible Models appear. No more flat dropdown of 80 options where half the combinations don't exist. Multi-level cascades are supported (Brand → Model → Year), and "Required" enforcement happens server-side — a stale browser tab can't slip through with an empty selection.

Offer Variant Popup (Free)

Multi-quantity offers ("Buy 3, save 20%") need per-piece variant selection. Without this add-on, those selectors stack inline and get cramped fast. With it, each piece opens in a clean modal — pick variant for piece #1, auto-advance to piece #2, images and colors visible in cards. Works on all five themes.

Product Reviews (Free)

1–5 star ratings with verified-purchase badges. Review data flows into your structured data (schema.org) so stars appear in Google search results. Simple, but for Algerian stores where trust is the #1 conversion blocker, social proof on the product page matters.

Enable Multi-Language Store — Unlimited plan. Dashboard → Add-ons → Storefront. Toggle Arabic and French, set auto-detect.

📊 For Marketing & Inventory: Sync, Track, Sell Smarter

Facebook Catalog (Free)

Auto-generates an XML product feed compatible with Meta Commerce Manager. Copy the feed URL → paste it into Commerce Manager → Meta pulls your products daily. Every public, in-stock product with a price and image is included. Variants become separate catalog items linked by item_group_id.

What this unlocks:

  • Dynamic Product Ads — retarget cart abandoners with the exact product they viewed
  • Instagram Shopping — tag products in posts, Reels, Stories
  • Advantage+ Catalog Ads — Meta algorithmically tests products against cold audiences

For multi-language stores, append ?lang=ar or ?lang=fr to the feed URL and create separate catalogs per language. Run Arabic DPAs to Arabic-speaking audiences. French creatives to French-speaking wilayas.

Advanced Stock Management (Free)

A dedicated inventory dashboard at /dashboard/stock-management that shows every product with current stock, sold units, and returned units — all on one page. Inline editing: click a cell, type a number, press Enter. Done.

Three stock modes are auto-detected:

  • Product stock — one number for the whole product
  • Option stock — tracked per variant option (all Red shirts share one pool)
  • Combination stock — per-SKU tracking (Red×Large has its own count)

The returned column relies on you marking orders as returned so the count flows back into inventory. Low-stock thresholds are configurable per product.

Activate Advanced Stock Management — Free on all plans. Dashboard → Add-ons → Inventory. The dashboard populates instantly from your existing product data.

Activate Facebook Catalog — Free on all plans. Dashboard → Add-ons → Marketing. Copy feed URL → paste into Meta Commerce Manager.

🤖 AI Credits: Pay for What You Use

DZBuild's AI features now run on a credit system. Every new store gets 25 free credits. After that, you buy packs:

PackCreditsPrice (DZD)
Starter50500
Standard ⭐150 (+10 bonus)1,200
Pro500 (+50 bonus)3,000
Business1,500 (+200 bonus)7,500

What credits buy:

ActionCost
Full AI landing page25 credits
High-quality product image5 credits
Standard image2 credits
Background removal2 credits
Image upscale2 credits
AI text (descriptions, headlines)1 credit

Credits don't expire. Enterprise plans get 100 monthly credits bundled. You pay via CIB/Edahabia (SlickPay, instant) or bank transfer/BaridiMob (manual, within 24 hours).

The key insight: you don't need to subscribe to a higher plan just for AI features anymore. Buy credits à la carte. Test AI landing pages with your free 25. If they convert, buy a pack. If not, you're out nothing.

Check your AI credits balance — Dashboard → AI Credits. Free 25 credits waiting in every new store.

👥 Team Permissions: Give People Exactly the Access They Need

The team system now supports per-store roles for multi-store accounts. This isn't one-size-fits-all permissions — it's granular:

RoleAccess
OwnerEverything, including billing and ownership transfer. One per account.
AdminEverything except billing.
ManagerProducts, orders, customers. No settings or payment config.
OperatorOrders only — built for call-confirm staff.
Read-onlyView dashboards and reports. No write access.

With multi-store enabled, you can assign different roles per store. Your call-confirm operator gets Operator access on the cosmetics store but no access at all to the electronics brand. Your finance person gets Read-only across everything. Every action is logged in an audit trail — who did what, when, filterable by member and date range.

For a merchant running 2–3 brands with a small team, this means you can finally delegate without handing over the keys to everything.

🧩 How to Combine These: Two Real Setups

The power isn't in any single add-on. It's in the combinations.

The Solo Merchant Doing 15 Orders/Day

Activate: Limit Orders Per IP (free) + Captcha Protection (Pro) + Product Reviews (free) + Facebook Catalog (free) + Stop Desk Selector (free)

What changes: Your checkout is protected from bots and spam. Customers pick their exact stop desk instead of typing free text. Reviews build social proof automatically. Your Facebook catalog syncs daily without manual work. Three of five are free. Total monthly cost beyond your plan: zero.

The Growing Brand With a Team of 3

Activate: Advanced Order Management (Unlimited) + Custom Product Shipping (Pro) + Custom Delivery Label (Pro) + Multi-Language Store (Unlimited) + Advanced Stock Management (free) + Cascading Variants (Pro) + Offer Variant Popup (free)

What changes: Your call-confirm operator has a real CRM queue instead of a mental list. Shipping is priced per product and per wilaya — no more losing money on heavy items to the south. Your labels don't reveal your sourcing. Your storefront speaks Arabic and French with automatic RTL switching. Stock is tracked across variants and combinations, and sold-out options disable automatically in the picker.

What This Actually Means

The story of DZBuild's last few months isn't one splashy launch. It's the quiet construction of an ecosystem where you assemble the store you need instead of accepting the store you're given.

Four add-ons in January. Seventeen in July. Each one solving a specific Algerian e-commerce problem that international platforms don't even know exists — because they've never had to call-confirm an order in Oran, or calculate per-wilaya shipping to Illizi, or hide courier labels from competitors at the same stop desk.

If you haven't checked the add-ons page in a while, open it. You might find three tools you didn't know you needed.

Browse the full add-ons catalog — Dashboard → Add-ons. Enable in one click. Disable anytime. Your store, your stack.
