# Add-ons catalog Add-ons extend DZBuild with features that are not part of the core platform. Most of them are opt-in, off by default, and non-destructive — uninstalling never touches your products, orders, or customers. Two exceptions are worth knowing up front: * **Facebook Catalog** is on for every store and cannot be deactivated. * **Digital Product Variants** currently renders on any Digital-theme product page that has variants, whether or not you activated it. That is a known defect, not intended behaviour. ## How to activate an add-on 1. Open **Dashboard → Add-ons** at [`/dashboard/addons`](https://dzbuild.com/dashboard/addons). 2. Find the card for the add-on you want. 3. Check the badge on the card: **Available** means your plan already includes the add-on; a plan name (**PRO**, **UNLIMITED** or **ENTERPRISE**) means you need that plan first. 4. Click **Activate**. The card flips in place, without a page reload. Seven add-ons take you straight to their management page instead: **A/B Testing**, **Pickup from Store**, **Short Links & QR Codes**, **Webhooks**, **WhatsApp Sender**, **Claude** and **ChatGPT**. 5. Some add-ons add a dedicated dashboard page; for those, a new entry appears in the sidebar (e.g. **Stock management**, **Reviews**, **Advanced orders**). To turn an add-on off later, click **Deactivate** on the same card. The feature stops; the data the add-on collected stays in place in case you re-enable it. ## The add-on catalog There are 26 add-ons. The installable grid on `/dashboard/addons` shows 21 of them. Cross-Sell, Custom Delivery Label, Custom Product Shipping, Shopify Import and Facebook Catalog have a management page too, but no sidebar entry; open them from the **Settings** (or **Manage catalog**) button on their card. ## External platforms The same [`/dashboard/addons`](https://dzbuild.com/dashboard/addons) page carries an **External platforms** section, right after Management Tools and above the installable add-ons, for services that run outside DZBuild and connect to your store. Flash Manager is not an add-on: you connect an account there instead of activating a card. The section also holds Octomatic and Ecomanager cards, which open their own connection pages (Ecomanager needs a paid plan). They are **off until you toggle them on**, from their cards in the Management Tools section at the top of [`/dashboard/addons`](https://dzbuild.com/dashboard/addons) — they never appear in the installable grid: * **Promo codes** — discount codes, managed at [`/dashboard/promo-codes`](https://dzbuild.com/dashboard/promo-codes). * **Countdown urgency** — a countdown and a live-visitor counter on product pages. Countdown urgency is configured once for the whole store, from the **Settings** button on its card: show countdown, show live visitors, cycle duration in hours (1-24, default 8), minimum and maximum simulated visitor count (defaults 15 and 50), visitor text and countdown title. The settings then apply to product pages store-wide. It holds eight cards: Team, Google Sheets, Product Add-ons, Promo codes, Countdown urgency, A/B Testing, Product Reviews and Facebook Catalog. Of the three add-ons that live here instead of in the installable grid: * **A/B Testing** adds a sidebar entry when active → run your tests at [`/dashboard/ab-tests`](https://dzbuild.com/dashboard/ab-tests) * **Product Reviews** also adds a sidebar entry when active → moderate at [`/dashboard/reviews`](https://dzbuild.com/dashboard/reviews) * **Facebook Catalog** has no sidebar entry; open it from the **Manage catalog** button on its card → `/dashboard/addons/facebook-catalog` ## Plan requirements Each add-on declares a minimum plan. The card shows the plan name (**PRO**, **UNLIMITED** or **ENTERPRISE**) only while your plan is below it; once your plan covers the add-on, the badge reads **Available**. Three add-ons require Enterprise: Advanced Analytics, Claude and ChatGPT. If you are below the required plan, the **Activate** button is replaced by **Upgrade to Pro**, **Upgrade to Unlimited** or **Upgrade to Enterprise**, which links to [`/dashboard/subscribe`](https://dzbuild.com/dashboard/subscribe). For most add-ons the plan is checked only at activation time. If you downgrade, add-ons you already activated keep running, but once you turn one off, you cannot re-activate it until you restore the plan. Advanced Analytics, Claude and ChatGPT are the exception: they stop working while your store is not on the Enterprise plan and work again once it is. ## Add-ons paused by your theme An add-on can declare themes it is incompatible with. On such a theme the card is shown as **paused**: the Activate button is disabled, the add-on does not run, and nothing is uninstalled — its settings and data are preserved and it resumes if you switch back to a compatible theme. Seven add-ons are unavailable on the **Digital** theme: * Advanced Order Management * Cross-Sell — Frequently Bought Together * Custom Delivery Label * Custom Product Shipping * Pickup from Store * Advanced Stock Management * Stop Desk Selector Text typed into add-on settings is stored HTML-escaped In the generic Settings modal on an add-on card, the characters `<`, `>`, `&`, `"` and `'` are escaped before being saved, so they can render literally later. Avoid them in those fields. Add-ons with their own dedicated page (for example Custom Delivery Label) strip HTML instead. ## Removing add-on data Deactivation is reversible. If you also want the data an add-on collected erased for good, contact support. There is no self-serve hard-uninstall.
